Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial end-of-life is scheduled in April 2021, as usual I strongly suggest to update before that date, the packages in the PPA will be gone with the next PHP update as it’s impossible to update EOL release in the PPA.

Heh, I knew about “Power Mode” extensions before. Used Atom back then but they are basically available for most code editors by now.

What a day. After fixing up the little one and paying the ER a visit (she is fine) I went on and fixed the family mailserver (that is now also fine). I feel exhausted. So many patches for one day xD
Replace battery Renault key card
Quick how-to change the battery of a #Renault remote key card (without tools)
- Press tiny button to get access to emergency key
- Use key as lever to open battery compartment
- Replace used up battery with new coin cell (CR2032)
- Close battery compartment again by pressing the lid gently back in place
- Put emergency key back in the key card

Reader Mode
Yes cookie pop-ups are annoying. Thing is that #GDPR only exposes the issue. Guess how GDPR came to exist in the first place.
Anyway, do you know this fancy thing called “ReaderMode”? It’s built into your browser and discards basically all the fancy stuff on a website so you can focus on the text you came for in the first place. It’s right next to the URL input field. Chrome has it not enabled by default but it’s there: chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode. Firefox can even read the article to you in this mode (well, sort of).
Punch it on any website that makes you jump through hoops before you can even access a summary.
Thanked my wife for cleaning a pile of cat puke. She looked at me questioning what puke I’m talking about. We both eye the next cat. Yuk! Must have ate it again. Cats are so disgusting sometimes.

Valheim in early access
Nice, #valheim will be in Early Access starting february 2nd: https://www.valheimgame.com/. I clocked around ~300 hours on this when I take alpha and various beta times into account and also provided dedicated servers during development for years. All on Linux PC 😀 Great to see this gem moving forward 🎉
