Congratulation @fluffy. Sounds like an awesome opportunity 👍

I have accepted a job at maven.io as a full-stack engineer. I’ll be working on web publishing stuff as an actual source of income now!

Talk to your kids about Tor and Kali Linux before strangers, like the NCA, does it.
Love the work of https://github.com/jboone/tpms ott of #tpms. Got quite some insight from him.
I can relate 👍 Building a kitchen is hard work where a lot of time goes into small details.
@_Adora_Belle_ Dies gerne auch als 📰 Artikel oder 📢 Cast für die Lesezeichen – wird gefühlt öfter gebraucht werden 👍
@elmine it is probably a problem related to gdpr. As for me personally I don’t care because I use my own setup to keep some privacy when it comes to tracking. Also I’m reading your feed that doesn’t embed anyway 😁
There’s some no cookies domain for YT you could use tho. Find that option in extended embed dialog on share. Not much use if a visitor is logged in to G tho.
I doubt there’s a good solution for privacy and usability at the same time.
This is a good read about SMTP and why it’s a bad idea to roll with the big 5:

We’re currently at a point where it is even difficult to run your own mailserver because small mailservers tend to end up on some blocklist thanks to “bad neighbourhood”. That’d be ips “next” to you. Getting removed again – even for no reason – is a PITA, because there is no unified way of doing so. Happened again and again and while the big 5 won’t bother blocking entire ranges most of the spam bouncing of my own mailserver is indeed from the big mailserves themself. So nowadays I simply stopped caring at all.
My advice for affected people is the same: Use a smaller provider or even run your own. Do not use the mailservices of the big companies. It’s not that hard. Even a consumer NAS can do it.
I recently started checking all my old posts manually. Turns out only a handful of links still work. The thing that really annoyed me tho is when a domain changed ownership and displays wildly different content eventually. Some even with disreputable content.
So yeah, some “link hygiene” on occasion is probably a good idea.
Somehow spelling mistakes in source annoy me the most 😂 They disturb my flow somehow 😅
