I’m missing the subtitles for videos in WordPress. In earlier versions there was an option for this. So every time I’m adding subtitles manually, that I do on my occasional videos, I’ve to edit the HTML of the Gutenberg block. It’s easy with HTML5 but now the Gutenberg editor will render the block as invalid so any further change has to be done in the source too. Like adding additional video container formats so clients can make their own choice depending on supported encoding.
Frell. Hope that test comes back negative. Totally not a good time (if ever). All the best!
I wonder why nobody wrote a TikTok plugin for rss-bridge (yet). Or Granary.io – both great tools to get back control over your feeds 👍
😲
Guilty of that @Edent. Usually I upload images while writing (or use Indigenous for Android) where the alt text fields don’t show up at all or doesn’t make it to my media endpoint (bug?). So I’m going to add this later™ – and that never happens. Thanks for reminding me on accessibility!
Shame on me 🙁
Huh, I wonder why Ubuntu has trouble with the dark mode. Looks fine on Fedora for ages (and also matches nicely with your CSS btw) (https://beko.famkos.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/gnome-shell-screenshot-82DOK0.png)
Evolution and Firefox are the only programs that give me a hard time for dark mode sometimes.
Interesting WordPress plugin lineup. Made me count my own and I’m up to 28. Most of this is IndieWeb or ActivityPub related. The only interesting additions are plugins to improve privacy of visitors. Namely Simple Local Avatars, Avatar Privacy, Shariff Wrapper, Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly) and Disable Embeds. Oh and the Creative Commons plugins 🙂

Heh, a life without cats is pointless 😁 One of ours is chasing a fly right now and that’s sooo hilarious 😂
