Oh boy oh boy it arrived. And what a friendly seller 👌 Kinda a shame that they gave up this hobby. Sold everything for an apple and an egg. It’s a #ViperPit #SimPit loosely based on a F-16. Nothing of this is functional though. Yet.

Winter may come!
Man… the _feel_ of those lovely switches and dials alone ❤️
@bekopharm@indieweb.social Ich glaube, dass ist mit Abstand das krasseste, was ich in den letzten Tagen so an Nerdstuff gesehen habe… Wow. Respekt!!
@nocci Nimm meine verdammte Herzchen ❤️ 💜 🧡
@bekopharm /Nixie wants to know your location. Please, ignore the thieving tool sounds and “free candy” van outside your house in the near future/
@bekopharm so when you say it’s a Viper pit, are you referring to Battlestar Galactica or the company named Viper that sells these pits?
@TheMNWolf sadly not, no 😀 In that case it’s the nickname for the F-16 “Fighting Falcon”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Dynamics_F-16_Fighting_Falcon
This pit is loosely based on it.

@bekopharm Okay, so it is a Viper brand pit LOL. Can never be too sure, a lot of stuff gets repurposed for TV shows. The thrustmaster warthog shows up in a surprising number of things from the 2000s
@TheMNWolf It’s a fair question 🙂 My profile background features a BSG Viper silhouette.
@beko holy shit, that guy’s heart must have been bleeding …
Looks awesome, enjoy putting it all together!
And out of curiosity: what is the average price range for a setup like this?
@maxbob heavy use for a year now. Think the seller was happy to see it going to someone using it again 😁
Usually this is work and parts in the 4 digits area. This was an absolute steal though for just 260EUR. Alas nothing is functional and restoring stuff to function is quite time consuming as well. Part of the hobby though so that's fine and expected.
@beko
@bekopharm @beko Money well spent, enjoy putting it back together! 🙂
