1. Yeah, I can’t shake the feeling that I need to start over so that I can ensure things are working correctly “out of the box”, but I don’t want to loose any content. I think I’m most of the way there, I just need verification that things actually work, though.

2. Don’t worry about the old content. Nothing is changed on this. It’s all in meta data for WordPress.

   You will need proper microformats though. I find https://microformats.io/ to be great to start (and debug – thanks to various online parsers).

   There’s also https://indiewebify.me/ for the basics 🙂
