The Sword – Form and Thought (ISBN 978-1-78327-427-7) is indeed a must-have for every sword enthusiast. Got my print years ago but I guess the recent prints are of the same fine quality.

Spring
First pell training this year. I really slacked off. Man.. my arms are hurting now. Still great to train outside again ?
„Warum machen Sie als Frau eine Ausstellung über Schwerter?“ Diese Frage einer Journalistin führte bei uns zunächst zu Sprachlosigkeit. Sollte man denn als Frau nur Ausstellungen über Schmuck, Kleidung und „schöne“ Dinge machen? Ist das Thema heute wirklich noch so männlich besetzt, dass es Frauen nicht interessieren kann? Und wenn doch, gilt man dann als verhaltensauffällig…
Toller Artikel. Solche Fragen und altbackenen Vorstellungen kann ich ebenfalls 2018 in keinster Weise mehr nachvollziehen. Ich stecke meine Nase regelmäßig in alle der oben erwähnten Bereiche und kann daher nur den Kopf über dieses veraltete Weltbild schütteln. Leider gibt es diese Vorstellungen noch immer. So wurde z.B. einer guten Bekannten aus Italien letztes Jahr bei einer Vorführung Punkte abgezogen, da sie „in Männerkleidern“ auftrat. Es bleibt also noch viel zu tun.
